In the late 1940s, while working
for Addressograph-Multigraph, Ray Beeler realized the need for
refurbished office equipment. From his home in Brainerd, Beeler
began refurbishing and selling used office equipment. By 1954,
Beeler Impression had become a full-time job. The business became
one of the first Gestetner dealers in the United States and
relocated to McCallie Avenue in 1956. Over the next four decades,
Beeler Impression continued its expansion and growth, adding
many new product lines.
In 1999, Dodd Hartness, a CPA and Ray Beeler's grandson, joined
the company as finance and marketing director. With Beeler's
continuing leadership, Hartness and the dedicated employees
of Beeler Impression have carried the business into its third
generation of local family ownership. Today, with almost 50
years of experience, Beeler Impression is Chattanooga's office
technology specialist, offering the most complete and innovative
product line in the area.
